Destination Wedding & Elopement Photography

A couple stands together in shallow ocean water during a peaceful sunset.

You’re skipping the traditional timeline, trading the massive guest count for a breathtaking backdrop, and planning an experience that is entirely yours. Whether that means exchanging vows under the neon lights of Las Vegas,  a moody cliffside in Europe, or a rugged mountain peak in the West, I’m already packing my bags. Let's make something honest, electric, and entirely unforgettable.

Intimate Elopements & Weddings Worldwide

Your wedding doesn’t have to follow a formula. Whether it’s an adventure elopement somewhere wild, an intimate wedding far from home, or a celebration built entirely around a place you love, this is about choosing an experience that feels unmistakably yours. As a travel wedding photographer, I document it as it actually unfolds, blending digital, film and Super 8 to create something nostalgic, cinematic and deeply rooted in the people, places and moments that made it yours.

More Than Just Your Photographer

Location Scouting:

I do my homework before we get there. Think incredible landscapes, interesting architecture, hidden gems and locations that feel like you, not just another tourist spot.

Planning

Good light makes all the difference. I'll help you plan around the location, the lighting and the moments that matter, without making your entire wedding day revolve around photos.

Logistics

Permits, photography restrictions, accessibility and local requirements. I'll research the details ahead of time so we know what to expect and what needs to be arranged.

Digital, Film & Super 8

There's something about experiencing a place through different mediums. The detail of digital, the nostalgia and beautiful imperfections of film, and the movement and magic of Super 8. It's a little bit of everything, coming together to tell your story in a way that feels straight out of an old movie.

Destination Photography FAQ's

01.

How do destination wedding photographer travel fees work?

No surprise flights or mystery expenses added after booking. Any required travel costs will be discussed with you upfront and clearly outlined in your proposal and contract, so you know exactly what your photography investment includes before you book.

For select destinations currently on my travel wishlist, I may also offer waived or reduced travel fees.

02.

Do you travel internationally for weddings and elopements?

Absolutely. I’m based in Northern Ontario, Canada and available for destination weddings and elopements throughout Canada and internationally. Whether you're planning an intimate wedding across the country or an adventure elopement somewhere on the other side of the world, I’m happy to pack a frankly unreasonable amount of film and meet you there.

03.

Are you legally allowed to photograph a wedding in another country?

Every country has different requirements for photographers travelling internationally for paid work. Before travelling, I research the applicable entry, visa and work requirements for your destination and make the necessary arrangements on my end. If a destination requires something outside the ordinary travel process, we'll address it well before your wedding day.

04.

What happens if there is bad weather on our wedding day?

We work with it. Wind, fog, rain, snow and shifting light can completely transform the atmosphere of a place, and some of the most memorable photographs happen when conditions aren't perfect. If weather becomes unsafe or genuinely prevents part of our plans from happening, we'll adapt the timeline or location wherever possible and make the best decision for the circumstances.

01.

Can you photograph our destination wedding on film and Super 8?

Yes. Digital photography can be blended with 35mm film, medium format film and Super 8 depending on your collection and the experience you want documented. I especially love bringing analogue formats into destination weddings because film has a way of turning unfamiliar places and fleeting moments into something that already feels nostalgic.

02.

How far in advance should we book a destination wedding photographer?

The earlier, the better, particularly for international weddings that require flights, accommodations and additional travel planning. Reaching out early also gives us more time to talk through your destination, photography priorities and timeline before travel arrangements are finalized.

From Ontario to Mexico & Wherever Comes Next

I've photographed celebrations at home in Northern Ontario and travelled internationally to document a destination wedding in Mexico. Wherever the story takes us next, I'm there for the whole thing: the unfamiliar streets, late-night swims, windblown vows, crowded dance floors and everything that happens between the itinerary.

Your Story, on Film

DIGITAL. 35MM. MEDIUM FORMAT. SUPER 8.

Destination celebrations already carry a certain nostalgia. Different light, unfamiliar landscapes, everyone you love gathered somewhere far from ordinary life. Analogue formats were made for that kind of memory.

Film and Super 8 can be woven into your destination coverage to create something tactile, imperfect and alive.
