Sometimes home is a place. Sometimes it's a person;

and sometimes, somehow, it's both.

Erin & Jason live a long way from where they began,

building a life together in Vancouver, with both of their roots back here in Ontario.

So they came back to get married in Manitoulin, an island woven through generations of Erin's family,

from her mom's summers spent at the cottage, to the memories Erin and her siblings would make there too.

Their wedding day was the first time I met them in person, but after months of emails,

calls and messages, walking into their day felt strangely familiar.

It was intimate, full of their closest people, from coast to coast, near and far

and so genuinely them. And in a place already holding

so many pieces of her family's story, they added one of their own.
